About Julie Bluhm

Julie Bluhm is a distinguished nonprofit leader who believes that unexpected change leads to opportunity- if you know how to leverage it.

Known for her culture-first approach and building sustainable infrastructures, Julie was most recently the CEO of Guild, a nonprofit providing community-based mental health and housing support. Leading through the transition from the organization’s founder and leader of over thirty years, Julie transformed the organization’s infrastructure and culture positioning it to be a leading first-responder in the unprecedented mental health, substance abuse, and housing crises we face as a community.

Prior to Guild, Julie’s passion for systems reform led her to the start-up team for Hennepin Health, where she played a pivotal role in its national award-winning healthcare reform initiative, demonstrating significant cost savings through the linkage of housing to health, bringing hard-to-reach members into primary care settings and testing innovative, collaborative solutions to improve population health.

A gifted storyteller, Julie is a sought-after speaker and trainer whose genius lies in her ability to distill complex concepts and problems into content that is understandable, engaging, and actionable.

As an interim executive leader, Julie leverages her extensive experience to guide organizations through periods of transition, helping them navigate challenges and seize opportunities for growth. Her proven ability to implement strategic changes and drive meaningful outcomes continues to make her a dynamic and influential leader in the nonprofit sector.
